With over 28 years of experience, Cameron and Josie McMillan have dedicated their lives to the art of sewing.
It all began in 1996 when Cameron joined his parents’ Bernina dealership and quilt shop in Yakima, WA. Over the years, he mastered the craft of machine repair, store management, and customer service.
In 2009, with three children in tow, Cameron and Josie took a leap of faith and moved to Frenchtown, MT, to start their own sewing machine repair business. For over a decade, they’ve provided expert repair services, worked alongside top sewing machine dealers, and built a reputation of trust in the community. Their motto? “If it has a needle and thread, we can fix it!”.
Now, with A Clean Stitch Sewing Center, they’re bringing their passion full circle—offering top-of-the-line sewing machines, high-quality supplies, expert repairs, and hands-on classes to the Missoula community.
Cameron started as a technician in 1996. His years of experience and industry knowledge puts him in a unique position to handle all aspects of the business. As lead technician he oversees the repair department, along with running the day-to-day operations of the business.
With her start in the industry in 2002, Josie is passionate about helping people unlock their creativity through sewing. She manages customer relations, classes, and store operations to provide a welcoming experience for every visitor.
With a background in education and many years as a librarian, Ann’s organizational skill set made her a perfect fit for our shipping and receiving department. Ann has been a creative and enthusiastic sewist for many years and has begun teaching sewing classes as well.
As our first employee, Reece has become invaluable to many aspects of the business. As product manager, Reece plays an important role in keeping the products flowing efficiently, along with always taking great care of every customer that comes into the store.
